Is Disney still charging $50 to change a BRP reservation? I read that earlier somewhere but did not find it mentioned on their web site.

What's going around here is that if you change your reservation in a way that does not reduce the overall cost, you don't get charged. If you reduce the cost of your reservation, you pay the $50 fee.

I haven't tried it and it might have changed since I read that stuff.

They have done away with the change fee, even if the price is less overall. However, I am not sure if you can make any changes if you are less than 60 days out.

I made a change less than 60 days out with no hassles or questions. I was about 50 days out when i made the change.

Could I ask what kind of change you made?? I tried to add days when I was less than 60 days out and they wanted to change my res to rack rate!!!

I changed resorts from ASMu to POFQ and added a day to our stay at POFQ. I didn't have any problem making changes, but i am still 60+ days out.
Both times i made changes i had to do it differently. To change resorts, I had to book POFQ online and then call and cxl ASMu. To add a day to POFQ, I just had to call CRO and add a day on. I still got the same BRP rate and didn't have to pay another deposit or any difference.

I recently changed from AKL to BC with BRP. It took 5 calls with 45 minutes on the phone with the last call and a very nasty supervisor telling me to change it myself online (he didn't know how but if I could read, I should be able to figure it out :confused3 ) but in the end they changed it for me and did not charge a $50 change fee.

I changed mine yesterday - no $50 fee but I when I called the passholder number (560-PASS) they said they can't change it.(???????) I had to call the main reservation number and even that took awhile - (I got the "you may have to change it online" response.) But I'm just glad there is no fee!
