Changes to CP Program?

Went to CP on Sunday, and noticed that the reading of "One Solitary Life" has been omitted. I always felt that was such a powerful passage that fit perfectly with the overall theme of the presentation. Does anyone know why it was eliminated this year?

There is another long thread somewhere around here and it seemed like it was to either give to the chorus a break or just shorten the program to give them a little bit more time to turn over the theater faster.

Of course it could just be an artistic decision.

There's a thread on this topic that was eventually closed because of the way the conversation trailed off.

A handful of changes occurred this year: new risers, new windows/set decorations, elimination of Do You Hear, slight change in narration.

I do not know why narration was changed, but overall the show was shortened by about 5 minutes. Some theories:

- focused on bible quotations, solitary life was not in the the bible
- the small cut allows more transition time between shows

Thanks for the info! I figured it might have already been discussed, but couldn't find the link.
We too were very disappointed with the omission of One Solitary Life. I may write a letter (not a rant) to Disney to ask them to consider including it again.
