I posted this on the resort page, but thought I would ask the same thing here. What do you guys think......

We are booked for 10/29/05 - 11/6/05. We have been planning this trip since the first part of this year. Our oldest dd is a rising freshman in high school and will be in marching band. She started band camp today and the information sent home says that attendance at all games are required. Of course the last regular season game is Nov. 5th. If the team makes the playoffs, then that could extend at least 2 more weeks. I am trying to decide if we should change our plans or just let the school know that we have had a family vacation planned now quite some time. Should I move our plans back or keep them like they are? Opinions please......

It depends on your dd, but if she doesn't mind missing the game, I don't see a problem with going to the director and telling them of your plans. You booked before the information was given and it is an after school activity anyway.

Good luck with your decision!

I really don't see it being a problem with the director since the plans were made ahead of time. I was a band geek myself in highschool and honestly I wouldn't of wanted to miss the last game of the year. We always had special parties for the seniors and so on. I would put it up to your DD.

ask dd and if she wants to stay then change the plans...at least you have ample time to do so...that is good.
