Don't know if this has been posted but as of Feb. 1 prices for breakfast go to $31.99 Adults which includes a photo package. They also charge your credit card at time of booking, incl. tax and grat. I found out when I tried to book for June and inquired why so much, we are 4 adults as 2 kids are 14 yr old boys. I decided to cancel ressies, boys don't care about princess photos! I think kids will now be $21.99. I asked if you could get it without photos, but no. Said it was a $30 value but would have cost us $40 = tax! There were lots of seatings available for June 29 though! Cindy

Yes. I have heard this. We will NOT be going back to CRT. $31.99 for breakfast???? I don't care what kind of picture they include, no way will I pay that. Its especially bad when your kids are over 9 and they have to pay adult prices!!

I know that i will get flamed here but as someone who has never had a princess to take with me, this trip in may I finally get to bring my so's 15 yo daughter who is a big "princess" nut. I can't wait. Expensive, yeah but to watch her will be worth every penny! JMO.

Any chance that this "specialty dining experience" is part of the dining plan? :lmao:

Yes, it is but it's now 2 TS credits for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I agree...eating at the castle is an experience in itself. ALL of the character meals are spendy...but seeing your child light up being there is what it is all about. Even though the price is very spendy people will spend the money!

It is a part of the dining plan...two credits for each person!

Good to know! So now I have another question... since people seem to have to pay in advance to book an ADR, how does this work when using the dining plan? Do they hold CC numbers to secure the ressie?

Personally, I don't think Cindy's breakfast was worth it. They didn't give me enough food first off because there were a few things I didn't like and when I asked for more my waiter kept forgetting till finally we just wanted to leave and hit the park.

More for your money and rumbly tumblies at Ohana's character breakfast. And IMHO face characters aren't as cool as costumed characters :)

Yep, they take your CC but don't charge you unless you don't show up.

I just booked the dinner Sunday for our March Trip. I also have a 14 year old son who could care less about princesses but my mother loves eating in the castle so the 2 credits will be worth it just for to see her happy.

Sorry go ahead and flame but i think this new meal deal is one of WDW's biggest rip-offs!! I thought that $19.99 for an adult breakfast with the offerings they HAD was espensive, but now $21.99 for a kids breakfast, that's a disgrace, they should be ashamed of themselves!! Photo pkg or not, it's a big ripoff!! :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2

I believe that they charge your credit card at the time you book the reservations and you will get it refunded if you cancel within the timeframe they allow!

Boy am I sure glad we did the Castle last year. For those that haven't been, it's a once in a lifetime experience. It truly is. But two credits would give me great pause even if I hadn't done it before. It's worth one though. If I were paying OOP, I'd have great pause as well. Especially now that we've done it once.
Then again, I don't see Disney not filling it up. So they probably could charge more and still fill it up. I think we'll just do something else from now on and be glad we got that once in a lifetime chance at what turned out to be a once in a lifetime price.

I don't think it's worth the money. But when your phonebank is jambed every morning at 7am by people trying to get it, well they probably could even get away with charging more. And they do have other alternatives available at more reasonable prices.

so now the 3 of us would be $100.00 for breakfast, but we get some pics? wow...we've done it before, but at that rate never again.

I can't believe how expensive it is now! No photo package would make that worth it. I mean, the child's meal alone is a few dollars more expensive than what I payed at the character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare for an adult! That's pretty rediculous. CRT use to be one of my all-time favorites, but with prices like that, I doubt I'll be going back.

According to a CM I spoke with at Disney Dining back in January, she stated that the reason for the change at Cindy's (price, prepay, etc.) is because some people were booking the breakfast and then selling their booking on ebay. So I guess they figure if you prepay this won't happen. By making it not as "hot" as it used to be it has driven down the demand. So I guess you can blame the people who were doing the ebaying with their ADRs.
