Changes at BCV?

As a parent that has spent a lot of money in this arcade I agree it is a big money maker. This is one of the largest with a huge game selection out of all the arcades on property. It does not necessarily appeal to me but when my kids were younger they absolutely loved it.

Enlarge Beaches and Cream -- I am for using the arcade space to do this.

Improve the food selection and quality at the SAB snack bar.

Improve bus service (too many resorts share the same line)

Widen the back walkway to Epcot. At points I feel like I am walking on everyone's patio.

Put in some more curb cuts for wheelchairs. There are a few places where you would normally cross that you can not.

I don't remember -- is there tennis at the BCV? If not add that.

I'd forgotten about that! Yes, I think that's a great idea!

Just got back from our first trip to BCV last week!

Agree with the idea to expand B&C and move the arcade - it made our dining experience very noisy!!!

Also need to provide some kind of beverage bar to make it worthwhile to use the mugs. We bought one to add to our collection, but it was too much trouble to fill it.

Why did Ariel's close? We definitely need another dining option.

How about internet access in every room (or is that coming?)

More supplies in the Studios besides just paper and plastic.

DVD players in the Studios.

Make available for sale in the gift shop copies of some of the great pictures in the rooms and hallways!

BCV was built on top of the former tennis courts for BC. I do think there are still a couple of courts at the far end of YC? Have to check that out!

Forgot another big wish....I wish that the road behind BC was closed. The sound of the traffic really hasn't bothered me much but it would certainly be nice if that area was landscaped instead. Before BW/BWV was built I imagine that road provided good backstage access and of course these days it facilitates the sorry state of bus service that exists at YC/BC/BCV and BW/BWV. Fill it in, landscape it and offer seperate buses!

Just wishing!

Or, put it underground so there was no noise, one long tunnel continuing around to the BCV entrance road, with tennis courts and big playgrounds above ground. As long as we are just wishing....

OK, how about a real easy one, an explanation of what the small concrete oval is for between the villas and the road? That one still has me stumped.

agree with:

completely non-smoking (allergies and bad childhood memories)
bigger Beaches & Cream
bigger shopping area (three girls in the family - all shoppers)
organized activities like they have at HHI
more "quick" dining options
more "full-service" dining options
better views to illuminations - maybe have the music piped in to a certain channel on the television so you can hear the same soundtrack they hear at the Park
more confortable sofa beds - my DD's are getting older and the pull-outs are getting more uncomfortable
how about golf-cart shuttle service to MGM and Epcot entrances?
how about free tube/float rentals for DVC members at SAB...maybe they could be in each room or available from SAB wih your room key
call-ahead check-in or online check-in...like the airlines do...we had to wait four hours after arrival last trip to get into our room...we requested an early checkin but it was overlooked
maybe a better "starter" package of common essentials in the kitchens - basics like condiments, seasonings, etc.

I'd love to see better bus service, with fewer resorts sharing the buses with BCV.

(Today I'm thinking more on the wavelength of all the things I LOVE about BCV, since I'll arrive there tomorrow night. ;) )

A quick service place for snacks or quick meals. Right now it is very limited.

I'd love to see them put a viewing platform, better yet lounge, for Illuminations on the top of BCV, there has to be some way to incorporate such a thing.:D

My requests would be a few closer food/snack options.
Bigger Beaches & Cream.
And my number one request: a completely enclosed walkway from BC to the villas. The one there now has a roof, but is wide open to the elements. We got pretty soaked a couple of times walking from BC (near the gift shop)to the villas because the wind was blowing the rain right under the covered area. Also, it was pretty scary when there was lightning and thunder. We usually go in the summer, so it does rain a lot, and we noticed the walkway was pretty much out in the open. It's different when you're in the parks, and you expect to get wet. But when you are trying to keep dry, there is absolutely no way to do that with the layout the way it is now.

I'd love to have them build a roof top GV with floor to ceiling windows on all four sides, and a fully wrap around balcony. I would want this room to be sound proof so that traffic and street noises could not be heard. It would also have to have a fantastic pool view, courtyard view and Epcot View. You would be able to view Illuminations from the balcony. I would like speakers on the side of the balcony that faces Illuminations, so that they can pipe the music onto the balcony. This room will be non-smoking only - including the balconies, with smoke detectors which would cause red dyed water to spray out at anyone who deigned to light up in the room or balcony. Of course, there would be a private elevator leading to this room (hidden behind a bookcase in the drawing room). I would like this room to only be available to DVCers who post on DISBoards. Oh, and it will utilize the GV points chart from OKW.

Expanding B&C and reopening Ariel's would be cool.

Besides that, I think that BCVs is pretty neat the way it is. :teeth:

definetly more of a food option.....a bit more shade at the pool would be nice as well

The buses are horrible. That is my number 1 complaint.

I also agree with B & C it gets very crowded. Even when you are getting take out it is crazy. We didn't even get the free refill cup because it is not convenient to refill it.

The buses are the worse though. PLEASE.... fix the buses.

forget about more comfortable pull outs...make the studios have 2 beds! why do all the DVC properties (other than OKW) have this. i see it as a big let down. you can't even get 2 beds for sure until you move up to a 2BR. been thinking about buying in for the longest time at BCV (when it becomes available) but had second thoughts with the bed situation. now looking at a resale at OKW because of it.
and to beat a dead horse, a larger beaches and cream.

Sorry, but I disagree about having 2 beds vs. 1 bed and sofabed. When DH and I go to WDW, we prefer to have a sofa to sit on when watching TV or reading. The two of us wouldn't use the second bed which takes up more floor space. This is the only negative about staying at OKW, IMO. But, I think it would be nice to have both type of rooms available at each resort. You could request whichever room you wanted. I think this would be a simple change to make that would allow DVCers to reserve what's best for their particular circumstances.

The suggestions are great! I would love to see so many of them come to fruition.

IMHO, would like to see a Coffee/Cappuccino/ Espresso type Cafe serving quick breakfast food like bagels, bagel sandwiches, pancakes, muffins ... , lunch - dinner or late night specialty sandwiches, salads, soup and desserts. Open early & close late - very often, we return from the parks and are to tired to fix a meal but don't want a full restaurant, a cafe style eatery at the BCV would fill the bill.

Transportation - less stops would definately help here.

That traffic noise is often a problem, anything that would help would be great.

Some GV's and better access to the pool are needed.

you know I am kind of surprise when they start to build BCV that beaches and cream was not enlarged.

roaring folks was before VWL.

beaches and creams has not been enlarged since Ariels closed and that has been several years.

even in the off times - 2:00 to 4 pm - this place seemly busy enough to enlarge it.

after epcot closes - forget it is packed.

of course maybe WDW thinks everyone is going over on the BW instead of beaches and cream these days.
