Hi! This is my first time posting here, but NOT my first time at this forum, hope y'all can help. We originally had ressies at FW cabin, but after considering the sometimes long bus routes and only 1 bathroom,we changed to 2 rooms at the AS Sports. We realize that there is the main advantage at FW of a full kitchen, but there is also only 1 bathroom and 1 TV and little privacy for 2 teens. There will be a total of 5,(2 adults,2 teens and a 6yo). My main concern is that we will be at a value resort. Will we still be too cramped? Will there be enough "special" magic, and will the food courts still be enough for breakfast, and late night snacks? Please help me feel better about my decision,Thanks,Julie:rolleyes:

Think of a value resort room as your basic hotel room - 2 double beds with a bath. If you reserved 2 rooms, you should be okay. We've never been in a cabin but the value resorts still offer a lot of Disney ambience. The food court is smaller but has a variety.

We usually stay at the moderates but stayed once at AS Music. We didn't find anything wrong with the room size wize.

The pool was great and the food court had plenty of choices. Your teenagers will love it. I would stay there again.

We stayed in 2 ASMo rooms in 2000 with 2 adults & 5 kids ages 5,6, 11, 13 & 14 - the older two being girls who were very concerned with their hairstyles. We too waivered between the 2 ASMo rooms and a FW cabin (before DH committed to joining us on that leg of the trip) We could not have survivied with only one bathroom. The older three were not our kids and really, they needed their personal space. I don't think we would have survived. That said, we kept the door open between the rooms (unless someone was changing) & did not allow anyone to use the outside door to the second room - everyone entered & exited through our room.

Thanks-I'm starting to feel much better about my decision. I know I will be happier,at least, with the extra bathroom.;)

Hi! We were at ASSp this past November with our 5yo son and my niece and nephew (13 and 16). We had two connecting rooms and it was GREAT!!!! We gave the teens their own room and my son stayed with us. It worked perfectly. We had tons of room, storage space, four beds, two baths... the kids liked having their own room. They used their own room keys and you can even have charging priveleges on their keys if you want. They had a lot of independence here as they could go to the gift shop, arcade or pool on their own, even though you are really "right there". The food court is one of the best features of the All Stars. Plenty of selections for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. We got the kids their own mugs and they were set. I would bring water, as it can get expensive. I don't know about you, but cleaning up after a bunch of people doesn't sound like a vacation to me (or nagging them to do it).

I happen to like the All Stars better in terms of transportation, getting to & from the pool & there is a food court. Yes, the cabins do have the kitchen....most of the time I stayed there, I didn't cook anyway!

We have stayed at All Stars three times now with connecting rooms and I love it! With the door open between it seems like there is way more room than there really is!

We have put to good use the two bathrooms and one night when one person became ill we were all in the other room allowing the sick one to rest til bed time.

As far as will the teens like the area -- I think so - mine does. There is always alot of activity and the food court is great for teens as well.

I agree with all the posts! We have stayed at the AllStars 5 times, twice with connecting rooms. It was great! We had 2 adults, three teens and a 5yold. It was great. Especially two bathrooms. Have a great trip!!

WE have stayed at the music at least 3 - 4 times, but this summer we are staying at the movies. We also got 2 rooms, dd14 and her gf14. i was wondering though, we have stayed in the closer bldgs. now im wonering if we need adj/connecting rooms does any one know which bldgs have them, or do the y all have adj/conn. rooms. Thanks alot

I am pretty sure they all have connecting rooms - I know we have been in toy story in movies, dalmatians in movies and football in sports with connecting rooms and I consider those to be close up buildings.
