My parents decided to join myself, DW and DD on our Disney trip his August. I had already made reservations for 3, so I needed to up them to 5. Disney recently introduced the "change reservation" functionality so I decided to take advantage of it.
I started with my lowest priority reservations, since I was skeptical. Clicked change for Biergarten and found an available slot at the same time for 5 people. Great! Clicked through the steps and the site confirmed the change. Next up, BoG breakfast. I go through the process, see a reservation within 15 minutes of the original time, and complete the change.
Next up, Tusker House....wait. Where are my reservations for BoG and Biergarten? Gone from MDE and no change or cancellation email received. How strange! I immediately call Disney.
After 20 minutes on hold I decide to see if I can just make new reservations. Sure enough I can, for those exact same times. Hrm...
I proceed and just make new reservations to replace my existing ones (using the built in cancelling-a-conflicting-reservation flow) and it all worked out fine. Surprising availability for chef Mickey, 1900 park fare, and Tusker house during free dining! But I'm satisfied.
I am still worried, though, that the missing reservations are still linked to me, and that I might be billed $30 each as a "no show".
Anyone else have a similar issue with this new "feature"?
