Well we have changed our plans. As Avid Disney World Lovers We are not going to DL. SOOOO Thank you so much with all your help. Planning our DL trip. But we have changed place and time of year. We are going to have a 2 and a half days drive in front of us but I think it's worth it. I hope we can hold off until Sept next year.:thumbsup2

That's too bad. I am also an avid WDW lover, but I also love DL just as much. It is a pretty special place. Too bad you can't see it. Maybe next time :thumbsup2

Oh don't feel bad. I grew up going to DL. I'm a Cali girl. We just fell in love with DW. We want a long vacation and can't see spending 10 days at DL. ;)

things might have changed again. Kids wanna try DL for the first time. HMMMM what do to. $$$ wise DL is best. And maybe it would be good to go to Walt's park.:lovestruc

You can still do a long vacation in CA... Start out in San Diego; do Sea World, Zoo, Wild Animal Park, then Catch Legoland on the way up to Anaheim, Then do DL... :thumbsup2

Like I said before, I am also a WDW fanatic. I grew up going to DL as a child, then discovered DW as an adult. I have had many great vacations there!! But I can't stay away from DL for too long. There is something special about the park Walt built.

DL park itself is so much more than the MK at DW. (OK, I am really mad they took out the people mover) There are more attractions, and Fantasyland is amazing.

Also, don't be fooled because there is only 2 parks that it can be done in a couple days. It takes at least 2 full days to experience all the attractions in DL, and 1 day at CA. But if you like to ride anything twice, or take your time taking in the sights, you will want more than 3 days.

If you are a true Disney fan, I think it is important to try both DW and DL. They are both so special if you don't expect them to be just like each other and enjoy the differences.

But that is just my humble opinion. Of course, you will have a fantastic time at either place. Disney is really about quality family time and makin memories.

Thank you everyone! We have chosen DL. I haven't been since my teens. And at 33 I know there are tons that have changed. Plus it is so different seeing it through my kids eyes. I went the last time with my mother sister and her 2 girls at the time. And My youngest niece was 4 and I remember her seeing Tiger and saying Oh mom there he is. I guess he heard cause he bent down on one knee and she ran into his arms:love: So now I will look forward to this trip. Plus I am Graduating from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Nov. So the Sept. trip will be my celebration trip lol:banana::cloud9:
