Change to Reservation Help

Long story, but I'm hoping someone can help me out. I start my trip to the Wilderness Lodge on April 16th and stay through April 24th, and I was booked using code BEX. When EWY came out, I called to change the dates from 17th on to that code because it was approximately 20 dollars a night cheaper. I was keeping the 16th at BEX. I realized I would be splitting the reservation and risking having to change rooms, but I was comfortable with that. After three different attempts, I thought we had everything set.

When I got my confirmation forms, the room type for the 16th had been changed to Woods View and gone up 20 dollars a night. The second reservation is fine at standard view. Two problems here: there's no chance of my staying in the same room and this is more than I agreed to pay.

So I call back and no one can change the room type back to my old type and rate because code BEX no longer has availability.

Is there any way I can contact someone who might have a view of the big picture here? I didn't request this change, and unfortunately, I keep talking to people who have a lot more limited understanding of codes than you guys do.

It's not a huge problem, and it's a change I would have agreed to if it got the rest of my changes made. I'm just kind of bummed that it was done without any notice to me.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. You guys tend to know everything.
 
If you agreed to it / knew about it = your stuck. They won't change it now.

BUT if you did not agree to it or know about it. I would dig in and start calmly talking to the cm, I just got this letter confirmation..... when he says "tough" can't help then you say I need to talk to someone who can please. And be pleasantly firm. ..... Continue this and explain NO ONE TOLD ME THIS was changing, or changing my price / view / room. Keep going up the line, as needed.

I had a confirmation come incorrectly and the code had "expired" when I called ..... trust me they fixed it. It was there mistake. I went so far as to suggest "pulling the voice recording of the transaction, between me and the cm. That it says you make, you will see what transpired" ....... In the end you should get back to what you had, the computer has a history of what you had, they will see it. ::MickeyMo

Thanks. I'll give it another try. I hadn't thought of asking them to pull up a recording.

I will be at the WL the exact dates that you are there! If you see a family of 4 with a 5-year old redheaded boy, that us!

If you can't change the room, stay with it and perhaps they will just leave you in the woodsview room for your entire stay. We're doing a split stay too - just like you are doing since April 16th is more expensive. Everytime we have a split ressie, they want to keep us in the same room since it's easier on mousekeeping and themselves. But we've always had the same room type. We have two woodsview PS's. I tried to get courtyard, but they were all out with the postcard code.

There will be two of us and an eleven month old. For a couple of days, we'll have my parents, making their first Disney venture in 16 years. Keep your fingers crossed that they enjoy it!
