Change tickets into Annual pass

I have purchased a resort and ticket package and we arrive February 8th. I want to pay the difference and get an AP.

Has anyone done this? I was told we would have to do this at the park

Yep. Easy peasy. You can upgrade at any ticket booth or guest relations. Adults must be present and have photo I'd. Know how much you should expect to pay although if your tickets were purchased directly from Disney there seems to be less room for confusion.

Or you could cancel your package and book a room-only reservation, then purchase your AP separately.
