Change one resort for another....

DH and I booked a package through AAA and are staying at the ASMo, but now I am wondering if I want to even stay there now reading all the good things about POP.

Has anyone changed from one resort to another when they booked a package through AAA or someplace else? We decied on preferred room for the ASMo, so that is what we are paying for. So I guess if we can change to POP we would get preferred room there also. As you can see by the timer we still have a while to go. Our dates are from Aug 9 through the 13th. The 13th is just for an extra room. DH decied he wanted to stick around Friday in the parks and didn't want to have to start driving home that night.
We were going to get a frig for the room, but decied to for go that and just get our own since we are driving down.

I figured I would cancel the frig when I call AAA Monday, but wanted to find out about changing from one resort to another before then. We make our final deposit in June. To me it would seem if they want to get the money, they will honor the request. But wanted to ask the experts about it. LOL!!

Any advice about changing from resort to another and about the preferred rooms at POP would be apperciated. Are the preferred rooms worth it, or should we just save the extra money? If the preferred room isn't worth it, since we have already put down one deposit will they let us change from a preferred room to a not preferred room?

Are the kids coming with you? Either way, you can't go wrong. Both resorts are wonderful. The PoP has appeal to both adults and kids. You might find PoP more appealing cause it takes you back in time. Just walk down the "memory lane" and you will see. You will find lots of families with young children at both resorts.

I think you can change resorts, but you have to make the changes within 45 days of the package or you're charged a $50.00 fee. I've stayed at ASMo three times and absolutely loved it - but we're staying at POP for our trip in October and I'm really excited about it. Either choice you make should be fine.

I changed from ASMo to POP this week. We are really excited about the change!! We were extremly lucky that we weren't charged the $50!!!

I just can't wait to go!!!!
