Hi...we woke up ready to head to Cape May! but our Sump pump failed in the night. Thankfully, only the unfinished part of the basement was affected. There are things to throw away, water to vacuum up. We will miss DM's 94 birthday celebration. However, if things go as planned now, we could leave here tomorrow, and be there at the end of the day!

Thanks...this is our second "water related incident" this year. The carpet in our basement is brand new, but thankfully, only the cement part of the basement is affected! We are so happy we decided not to travel 1/2 way on Saturday, but to do the whole thing today....well, not it should be we will travel tomorrow!

Sometimes things work out well!

We always joke that the worst part of our house is the plumbing We've had water heaters flood the basement twice. We had leaking walls until we regraded the back and side yards. Once we even woke up to hear water 'flowing' in our air duct system! Leaky pipes upstairs have made soggy first floor ceilings including one infamous New Year's Eve party! Cross my fingers nothing more can happen!
