Does anyone know if it is difficult (or what the procedure is) to change a passenger on a reservation? For instance, if for some reason my husband could not go and I want to take my sister instead. Has anyone ever done this? Our reservation is through DU. I have an email into our agent, but was wondering if you all had an answer since I'm still waiting for her reply.

Thanks!

I just did this.....My husband can't go on the cruise with us....so my Girlfriend and her daughter are going instead. It seemed to be no problem

Depending on when you booked your ressie the price could be higher for adding on another person. My friend just took my husbands spot and then had to pay extra for her daughter.

The room we had been given slept 4 so we had no problems.
We were able to keep our early dinner as well for this sailing.
Last year, they didn't have room to add another person to the early seating so we had to switch to late seating

Good Luck

We wouldn't be adding to our reservation, just substituting the current passenger (my husband) for a different passenger (my sister or mother). So, you think there probably wouldn't be a problem in your experience? Our cruise is only about 18 days away.

I'm still hoping we don't even have to do this. Keep your fingers crossed.

Since your sailing date is so close (I am assuming you already have your docs) you might have trouble. If it is early (before final payment) it is no problem, in fact, I even use TBA for the passengers sometimes b/c I don't know who exactly is going. After the docs come out, I don't know how easy it is to do but I would think there would be a charge for reissuing the docs if nothing else. I am curious to see what transpires. Please post the result.

Just got a reply from my TA who said it would cost $35 for the change.

BTW -- We haven't received our docs yet -- cruise is in 18 or 19 days.
