Found out today on the www.disneycruise.com website that the Sept. 21 Wonder is now making a stop in Freeport. When I booked a year ago it was originally a day at sea. So, besides the shore excursions, is there anything else to do in Freeport?

Hello! We are also on this sailing... I was really wanting that day-at-sea. : (

There have been a few theads.... Other than the excursions, It looks like the thing to do is to take a taxi to the Port Lucaya, Our Lucayan, area to shop, do some sight-seeing, or check out the beach.

Is there not like a beach-club type place with chairs, facilities, etc? That seems preferable to having to carry all your 'things', sit right in the sand, walk to seek public restrooms, etc... Especially with little ones.

I would also like input on any other options!

We just got off the 6/29 Wonder. That cruise changed its itinerary, also, and we had a day at Freeport rather than at sea. I never got off the ship at Freeport. It appeared that more people stayed on the ship that day than at Nassau as there were more people in the pools, restaurants, etc. The dock at Freeport is in an industrial area, and you will need transportation to get to town. There are some shops at the port and a sign over the shops says "Straw Market". These shops all sold about the same stuff -- tourist gifts, etc.
