We fly out in roughly 24 hours from London to Miami, to then drive up to Orlando. I have some dollars, but all notes (only two ones). How much change and of what sort am I likely to need for any tolls?
I hope you have some larger notes you could buy something at the airport in order to get some smaller notes and coin. Although you might save some time using exact change, you can get change for notes at the toll booths on the FL Turnpike. They should be used to higher denomination notes as that is what ATMs disburse.
Do remember which side of the road is right . . . right, right? Enjoy the exchange rate and spend lots of money!
I think the total of the tolls are the Greeneway--can't remember if it's a beltway, parkway or what--is around $2. Might be $2.50.
Most of the toll areas have at least one booth that is staffed. I'm not sure if that's 24/7 or just "business hours" weekdays and weekends. I think the tolls range from $0.50 to $0.75 at varous locations.
I *think* your $2 will be fine unless they've changed the toll amounts since March. If I remember correctly, there are three toll booths between MCO and WDW property. Just can't remember the $ configuation. Is it two at $0.75 and one at $0.50, or two at $0.50 and one at $0.75?
Check to see if you have some coins lying about that you can include--just in case!
Edited to add:
Just looked at date and time of original post. Think I'm a little late!
Pssst. If the people are coming from Miami they will not be getting on the 417. Most people will either come up on H/W 95 to the Beachline and west to Disney or the Florida turnpike. H/W 95 to the Beachline to Disney will cost a total of $2.75. The $2.75 is Beachline Tolls. The Florida Turnpike in the neighborhood of $15.00. I am not sure of the turnpike tolls.
The final ten miles they might use the greenway (417).
Anyone coming up the Turnpike from south Florida to Orlando can't really use TOLL 417 (Greeneway) because although the two roads cross each other, they don't have a connection. Those going to Disney World either take Osceola Parkway westbound directly into WDW (this is also a toll road) or take the Beachline Expressway (which is labeled as TOLL 528 but has no tolls between the Turnpike and I-4).
There is a connection at where the 417 and the 528 cross each other. I use it all the time coming from the Port going to Disney. I hardly ever go straight to I-4 and than Disney. Better check your map.

Of course 528 & 417 cross each other Edd, directly east of MCO. But I was referring to the Turnpike and 417. There is no connection where those two roads cross near Kissimmee.
