Chances of getting this reservation?

Hello,

Just last night, my family and I decided that we'd like to go to WDW sometime next March. We usually go in the summer or fall and make our reservations 11 months in advance. I've never tried to make a reservation so close to the trip date. Will we have any chance of getting a reservation for 2 studios for a week in March? Our home is VWL and we'd prefer to stay there but I'll be happy to get a reservation at any of the DVC resorts. As long as we go in mid-March or after, we can still book VWL in advance of the 7 month window. Plus, we're flexible about which week we go in March. Am I crazy for thinking I'll be able to get a reservation in March? Oh I wish member services was open on weekends!

You're not crazy at all. Since you are flexible and Easter is in April next year, I think you stand an excellent chance. Have fun planning.

Obviously, there is only one way to tell.

While March is a busy time for WDW because of spring breaks, I'd think you should be able to get two studios...especially with your flexibility. I'd try your first choice of dates and see if you can get them. If not, drop back to something outside seven months, and I'd bet you'll be successful.

I agree with HBC and Jim - don't think you will have a problem. Don't be afraid to use the waitlist for VWL if that's where you really want to be (although I don't think you will have to waitlist) - there's still plenty of time for it to work out.

We never book at the 11mo. mark and have always been happy. If you are a bit flexible, you should be fine.

I just called last week for a GV at OKW for the end of the month and was very pleased to get all my 7 nights! You never know!

I've been very lucky getting March reservations as close in as January-February. When you call Monday, take what's available and waitlist for your ideal vacation. Chances are good it will work out.

I currently have a studio and a 2 bed booked at VWL in March - I plan on switching at the 7 month window to OKW - to a GV if I am lucky or to a studio and 2 bed if I am not. So even if there are not rooms available before the 7 month window, things will switch around and you will have a good chance of getting your waitlist.
