Chances of getting Test Track fast pass after FEA

What are the chances of snagging a test track fast pass after using FEA fast pass? If only selecting one fast pass can you select another tier one after checking into the first? My other strategy is to have my husband and daughter go on FEA and my son and I go on Test Track

You have to either be past the time window of two Tier 2's or have used them before getting another Tier 1. So you can't just book FEA and then get TT right afterwards. However, there's no reason you can't split your FPP's and book FEA for 2 and TT for 2.

If you all wanted to do both, you could take your chances and book FEA for 11 (or as early as you can get it afterwards) and fit in the two Tier 2's from 9-10 and 10-11 and then try for a TT FPP as soon as you scan in at FEA around 11. I haven't see much availability for TT when I've been trying lately, but that's been in the 1:30-2 range. For the most part, it seems like the "Big 3" (TT, FEA, Soarin') aren't usually available by lunchtime unless someone cancels right when you're looking.

How have the wait times been for FEA WITH a FP? I hope this is the right place for this question! I am more concerned with the 9-12 time frame- in particular 11-12.

@marciemi , so you cannot cancel your 2 tier 2's after using your Tier 1 in order to book another Tier 1?

Correct. You must either be past their time windows or have used (or at least tapped) them. If you try before that you will get a message telling you that you are limited to one Tier 1 and have already used it. You can, however, book a Tier 1 in the other tiered park after using one in the first park (ie. Ride Soarin', immediately book TSMM).

It really seems to be all over the place and vary more based on how much the ride has been down rather than the time of day. I rode three times this week and waited 40 minutes once, 15 minutes once and about 10 minutes once. The advantage to an earlier timeframe is that the ride hasn't had a chance to be down much yet and as a result shouldn't be too backed up. The time I waited 40 minutes, the ride had been down for several hours during the day and my FPP window started at 7:15pm.

Do we know FP+ times that are normally available for FEA? I'm trying to figure out where/when we have to be if we RD Soarin then have Biergarten resis at noon. Thank you!

The past two weeks I went to the parks I have not seen any availability for more then one Tier 1 FP unless you do a ride and add the 9PM Illuminations. You must use all FP's until you can book another Tier 1. If you cancel FP you still have to FP two Tier 2's and ride them in order for the system to let you book another Tier 1.

I'm wondering if I take the kids with our AP, are there SDFP for soarin or TT at park opening? We might just wake up and decide to go and not plan in advance

Good to know; thank you. I wasn't going to book any Tier 2, so thank you for saying this! So, Norway is open even when park opens? We come from Yacht Club and am trying to figure out where they let us walk to.

You don't actually need to ride both Tier 2's. Just need to have passed their windows. I've checked this multiple times, including twice in the last week. Important thing to know is that once you pass both Tier 2 windows and tap at the Tier 1, you then want to use the + button and make another FP as if you were making a new one (select people/park, etc.) for that day. You will get a message saying that you are limited to one Tier 1, but it will also offer you options to select another Tier 1. Once you do, your two (unused) Tier 2's will go away once you refresh again.

A copy of what I posted on another thread, complete with pictures of the above. :)

Okay, I again tested letting 2 Tier 2 FPP’s just expire (at Epcot), then using the Tier 1. I did it for 2 different people in my party (each with different Tier 2’s) and for both of them I was able to immediately book another Tier 1 as soon as I had used the first Tier 1 – since I was past the window of my Tier 2’s. I didn’t do a super job taking all the right pics but I’ll do my best to show how it worked for me:

This is what I had first off for “Penny” (ignore the The Seas FPP which was for someone else).

10:30 Pixar (Tier 2)

1:05 Turtle Talk (Tier 2)

2:05 Frozen Ever After (Tier 1)

After riding Frozen, I attempted to make a new Tier 1.

At this point both Tier 2’s still showed if I clicked into them and gave me the option of making the change to another Tier 2:

However, I just used the big “+” symbol on the bottom of MDE to bring up the menu choices and chose the FP option. It then took me to this screen and showed me some people for eligible for another FPP:

I chose “Penny” as the person to change, selected today’s date and Epcot as the park:

It then told me I could only plan 1 Tier 1 per day, but still showed me all the available Tier 1’s, as well as the times they were available:

I selected Soarin’ at 7:40 and clicked on it and got this screen:

And received the confirmation:

It immediately showed up back in my FPP’s:

At this point the Tier 2’s were still there. But when I went into one and tried to change it to a different Tier 2/time, I got this error message:

After refreshing the FPP’s again and going back to the main screen and then back into the FPP screen, the Tier 2’s had disappeared (all those shown were for another person but the original Pixar and Turtle Talk ones were gone):

I had also tested it for myself and changed mine to The Land (was surprised the Soarin’ was available for this one!). Since we were on the tram to leave by this point I just then went in and deleted all of them.

This is the 4th time I’ve tested this and I think the relevant part is that you’re booking new FPP’s after using the Tier 1 (after the time windows of the Tier 2’s) via the + symbol, not trying to “modify” one of the existing Tier 2’s. I can try one more time tomorrow but I’m confident I’ll get the same results. :)

Just make the FP's as soon as you know you want to go to the park or in the car on the way. There's no attractions where they hold FP's to release on same day
