chances of getting requests while checking in late?

My family and I will be staying at POFQ in June. We were planning on getting to WDW early on Sunday so we would have the day. Now we are considering checking in late on Sat. (around 10:00-11:00) so we could have all day Sun.

I have several requests for my room at POFQ. What are my chances of getting my requests if we check in late? Or, do you think they would agree to put us in a room on Sat and then switch rooms (that have my requests) on Sun?

Thanks,
Kris

Since you're arriving late, you could try calling the resort directly on the morning of the day that you'll be checking in. Let them know you're arriving late and ask if they can help you out in any way to accommodate your needs. Maybe they'll be able to honor your requests and set a room aside for you. It's worth a shot ... what would you have to lose?

The pixie dust was flying when we arrived at the Polynesian close to midnight on Valentine's Day! Not only did we get the longhouse we requested but the exact room too! When the CM pulled out the map, circled our building and then started writing out our room number, I let out a hoot. I couldn't believe it. I was hoping so much to get the longhouse we were in in Dec. I requested but never expected to get the same room. What a wonderful surprise. I told the CM to give a kiss to whoever arranged that! :) Hoping you can experience the same magic and get at least some of your requests! We had one other previous late arrival, and I remember our requests were pretty much accomodated for that time too. Good luck, and try to arrange a carriage ride when you are at PO. My husb and I just took one. What a lovely property PO is! Have fun on your trip!

When we were there in Nov. none of my requests were met and the CM could not have cared less.

That said, my requests didn't matter. We got the king room we paid for and the view doesn't matter because you can't open your curtains as the walkways are right outside your window. No building is very far from the pool or food court or bus stop so that doesn't matter either. Really the only thing I could imagine making much difference is a third floor room so you don't hear people above you (or maybe being close to an elevator if you need that conveniece.)

So many people have special room requests that I don't think they even pay attention to them anymore. At least htat's the way it seemed at POFQ.
