Chances of getting POR with Free Dining?

Hi! We're in the midst of booking our 9/4-9/10 trip (DH doesn't seem to get the whole 'lets have it planed a year in advance'), and he really wants to stay at POR. The only problem is that CSR is $400 less, as there is still free dining promo rooms there and POR does not have any. I can't see spending $400 more on a room, plus the price I got a CSR includes a preferred room with 5 day PH and the POR room with the 'back to school ' promo is only a 4 day base ticket.

I'm aware that no one can guarantee anything, but is it possible that people are maybe holding onto POR reservations and some rooms will open up? Does this ever happen?

I just checked your dates. POR is available right now! It's a Royal room, but it's only about 50 dollars more than your preferred at CSR.

It's a royal room, garden view.
There is also preferred and water view at CSR available.

It's the free dining promotion. I'm Canadian. Maybe we are offered different availability? Or try clearing your cookies. Maybe it will show up. Good luck!!!

AHH! I see it 9/4-9/9 so I am trying to book that then I will call and add a day.. but the darn website just keeps re loading when I click 'check out'. I'm having palpitations!!!

AHH! I see it 9/4-9/9 so I am trying to book that then I will call and add a day..

It's not really as easy as "calling and adding a day" to a promotion like that. The 10th isn't showing up in online booking because it's not available. You may call and get it. You may call and not get it.

I called and tried to get a room only reservation for 9/9-9/10 since I knew the Free DP isn't offered for that one night- it was going to be $298 to stay in the same room type (no guarantee of same room but they would request it), or $214 to stay in a a different room. I'm currently g-chatting DH at work and seeing if he's ok with checking out on Fri 9/9 anyway because our DDP would not be able to be used on 9/10 anyway.. now we wait for his answer.

The only problem is that I purchased our southwest tickets already and would need to change them, and DH only like non stop flights which they are not offering on 9/9 MCO-MHT.

I need a vacation lol.
