Chances of Getting In?

so I was doing to CP fall 2008. I had to leave early.. heat and major homesickness were the issues for me. I was just wondering if I would be able to get into the program again for Spring '10. I am just hoping that I will be able to get in because workign for disney is a huge dream of mine. Doing to spring 2010 one I know I will be more mature and able to handle being away from home and it should not be as hot.

They told me that I am on bad terms for 6 months and then I can reapply for Disney after that. . so I am not sure what would happen. I know that I can do it.

Six months is usally standard for any company. You are basically on probabtion until then. I am thinking that as long as you were on good terms while you were on the program, then you should have no trouble getting back in.

I'm curious though what you think you'll do differently the next time though if you're readmitted. Do you not anticipate being as homesick or have the heat affect you as much? I'm just wondering what you think will be different.

I realize it's hard to "hear" tones on a message board, so please don't think I'm trying to be rude or condescending. But maybe you can help someone in a similar situation with some advice as to how to deal with what you went through.

I have come to realize that I was not homesick but just scared. I was scared of being alone and scared of failure. With a mixture of that the heat got to me bad. I have realized that I can do anything I set my mind to and not be afraid. I will be older in 2010 and knowing that it will be easier for me.

The tones from this message did not sound rude. I know that I will be homesick but I realize now that it is something everyone has. I would suggest to anyone wanting to go home to stick it out for as long as you can and not to complain! I think that it is a wonderful opportunity and if you give it up now you will REGRET IT!

I am on restricted rehire not no rehire. When I talked to Kelly P on hte phone she told me that if I would want to come back I would have to be working some place for 6 months and then there is a longer application process.

I hope you don't mind me asking but when you go to school are you living at home or living in a dorm? I can't picture the cp being much different than a dorm. I remember my first night in a dorm last year I was so scared but once I made friends everything was fine.
How long did you stay in the program? I thought Fall 08 just started about 2 or 3 weeks ago?

I was in Florida for exactly 1 month. I live at home when I go to school since they don't have dorms at my school. . I think that I was just overly scared and everything... and the heat yeah. here where I live if it is 90 outside or hotter we stay inside and don't do anything outside. haha we also only have 2-4 days a year like that. I live in the Pacific Northwest of Washington State.. in Tacoma.

I was "homesick" and planned a home trip for over a week between my program and my program extension. Due to my role I was able to get the time off.
I came home, went to a movie, went bowling, and went to Perkins all with my friends. And then I said ok, time to go back to WDW.

This time when I leave, I leave for good!

I have known people who have been through the process of getting rehired after going on the suspended rehire list, it's a bit rough. Neither of them were successful with it but if you really want to do this than I am sure you have a chance. I know suspended rehires have to go though an additional interview where they want you to show remorse for why you left the company originally (this is where my friends had problems since they felt their original reasons were justified they didn't want to apologize for it). If you are not accepted after that interview you need to wait an additional 6 months before reapplying. Thats really all I know but maybe it will help you a little and good luck.
