chances of getting BCV at 7mos window

We just bought DVC and our home is AKL.. but we love the location of BCV... what are our chances of being able to get the BCV for April 2010 at the 7 mos window. if we cant get it we will try bwv then akl....

It depends on what you want. I think you have a good chance. I was able to choose between a BWV and BCV studio last October for spring break.

You might want to reserve at your Home Resort at 11 months so you can be sure to have something in case your preferences are not available at 7 months. You can just cancel the AKV reservation and make the reservation at BCV if it's available using the same points.

I agree with Doc - especially if you are planning to visit during one of the weeks surrounding Easter (which is April 4 in 2010).

The week before and the week after Easter are popular spring break times, so getting one of the smaller DVC resorts at 7 months could be a problem. Be sure to call as soon as your 7 month window opens. Good luck!

we had no prob getting BCV at 7 month window for the beginning of May. I think April will be very difficult because of Easter/Spring breakers.

I called yesterday at the 7 month window to change our ressie from SSR to BCV for a studio from 3/29/09-4/4/09. This is the 2nd year in a row I've been able to do that at 7 months for our spring break trip, so it is possible.

A few times we've been able to get a Studio at BCV over Christmas at LESS than 7 months. Like others have said, just make sure you have a room at your home resort and then waitlist if needed.
