After calculating and considering the weather, the season, the temps, the demand, the number of two bdrm units, the history, the island trend, the cycle of the moon, the traffic, the travel time, the new 7 day out ressie process, the new wireless internet, the availability of bicycles, the travel time, and the travel difficulty...

Yes, I think your number is rather accurate. Maybe after all that work, DisDaydreamer, you should go with DeeCee 735. You can't beat HHI for a relaxing vacation. I was about to say that October is the perfect time-but IMHO, anytime's the perfect time for HHI!

Hmmm... I Don't think Mary Beth would approve. AND, MB is my everything so I wouldn't even consider it. But thanks for suggesting.

We love HHI. We tend to alternate between HHI and VB, but last year was kind of a downer with my (adult) kids at VB.... so MB suggested we go to VB again this year to make up for it... God I love her.

That was great! My DH and I would like to have our friends (live in VA) join us for this four day trip. We are hoping it'll be warm enough for relaxing on the beach? But if not, there's a whole lot to do, just to relax and that's what we want to do. Relax and enjoy each other's company.

We've been to HH four or five times during October and have never had trouble booking it at 7 months (sometimes even later). We've had both 1BR & 2BR units without a problem. Most of our trips have been either the 1st week or 2nd week of Oct. and the weather has been perfect. I'm hoping to get to go again in 2009, but won't know until late March or April if we'll get to - so please don't book the last room!

Do you ever get the feeling, you don't want people to find out about HHI? We own at HH, but only have enough points for 1 week. We're hoping to start going a 2nd week in the Fall but I keep thinking we've got all these new people joining DVC and it's just a matter of time before they want to "try" HHI out. It's going to start getting harder and harder getting 7 months ressies IMO. I hope I'm wrong. Anyone else concerned? This is why I'm seriously thinking about selling our AKV contract and buying another HHI add-on sometime in the future.

Yes, I get concerned-HHI has been the best kept secret. We just bought enough points for 1 week off season. However, we use a 1 BR, and there aren't too many of those at HHI. So sometimes I worry a little that we could start running into problems even at 11 months out. Since we've become empty-nesters,HHI's our Thanksgiving spot, and I don't know what we'd ever do if we couldn't get it!

No problem with availability by using the member's discount? You're right-the price is outstanding! It's as good as, if not better than, using points. And if there's no problem with availability, that's a great idea!

While I understand this thought, it sort of goes for all the DVC resorts. I mean, alot of people want to "try out" many of the onsite resorts they never stayed at either, WL at Christmas, BW & BC for the location between two parks, AKV for the Savannah views and Concierge, BLT for the MK views, etc. So while HH owners may start to worry about availability for home resort owners, it's kind of been that way for those of us who own on property too.....just an observation.....

We can't wait to see if we can get HH for a few nights with our friends. We've stayed there twice (when driving to and from Disney) and it's a great way to vacation! Great resort as well!

I think we'll see reduced availability at HHI and VB. What with the addition of SSR, AKV, BLT, & THV. That's a lot of new members and still only two beach resorts to satisfy beach trips. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
