Do most people stay at the same resort everytime? Just curious
Is there anything going on at Epcot at the end of may or early june that would make it difficult to get BWV? WOuld anything be available there?
Are you saying no to Boardwalk view or no to not being able to get it BWV period
Seems like this is a time perriod before most schools get out

I'm sure you could get a Preferred View at BWV (which is pool or garden view). The Boardwalk views are usually snatched up by owners at BWV - they're tough to get (but nothing's impossible). We've stayed at BWV twice and each time we made the reservations it was around the 6-7 month mark - but each time we had a pool/garden view. I don't know if there's something going on during the time frame for your trip though.

We own at BWV but booked at 7 months for May 8-19, 2009 because we were using some transferred SSR points. Our dates are different than yours but we were able to get a BW view studio for all 11 nights.

Worst case, I would suspect that you will have no problem booking PV and waitlisting for BW view (same # of points). However, if you need to WL both rooms, under the new rules, these 2 WLs woudl be all you are allowed until one of them comes thru. Best of luck -- Suzanne

I was able to book a studio boardwalk view at the 7 month mark for May of this year (Memorial weekend). When we booked, I had the option of boardwalk view, preferred, or even standard. So, it's not entirely out of the question.

really i could go that last week in may or first full in june..try to go before all schools get out and before points go up on the 10 so i guess i could check in June 6 and check out June 11 and the points would be the same...i m just wondering if i should try and rent points from someone or just take a stab at it through 7 month window..

The Boardwalk View rooms are about 20% of the resort. The Standard view rooms are about another 20%. Preferred View at the Boardwalk is a misnomer, I'm not sure if anyone would rather have a preferred view if a Boardwalk View or Standard View is available. Which means once the resort is 40% full, its unlikely to get one of those views. Which doesn't mean its impossible - at that time of year is a good time to try.

60% of the resort is preferred view - those rooms are generally available at seven months - with the exception of December when the resort often books completely full before the seven month window, and F&W, when there are often rooms available RIGHT at the seven month window and they are often gone the day the window opens (although sometimes people get lucky).

The Flower and Garden Festival typically runs at Epcot till the end of May. Then of course, you have the holiday week of Memorial Day. Early June is a better bet I think.

The preferred view is very nice at BWV as well. I think you would have no problem getting that at the 7 month window.

I just found out 2 days ago (so it might have been changed a week ago - I haven't been checking on it) that our wailtlist for BWV std. studio May 25-29 came through.

I've been on the waitlist since Jan. 15th.

You may not get it right away, but I think you'll get the BW views eventually if you call right at 7 months. If you are really flexible, try for the first week, and if no luck wait and try for the second one...I really do think you have a good chance!!!

I called a month ago for May 28-31st and got a boardwalk view for my stay! Anything is possible!!
