Chances for Attractions?

Hello, everyone. My status for the Fall 2012 program is currently "pending", and I have a few questions. I am currently a Mechanical Engineering student at Iowa State University (currently a freshman but will be a Sophomore in Fall 2012) and working at Disney has always been my dream, which I assume is no different than the majority of people on this board. Anywho, the two positions that I applied for were "Attractions" and "Transportation". In hindsight, this was rather ambitious considering the two positions seem to be in high demand, but my dream of being an Imagineer led me to want "Attractions" greatly. I initially applied on February 3 and had a phone interview on February 10. After two weeks, I received the "Thank You for Your Interest" e-mail. Alas, I still have not received a confirmation or a rejection. It has been over a month since my phone interview, and I am worried that I won't make the cut. My question to you: is it a long shot for a Sophomore Engineering student to get "Attractions" on his first try? I really want to be an attractions CM, and the wait is killing me. Any insight on the situation would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think it's a long shot because of what grade you're in, but because you only put two roles as things you wanted, you are less likely to be offered a position. The more roles Disney can put you into, the more chances you have of getting hired.
