We have reservations for 7:30 on Saturday Oct. 27th for 7 people. I tried to change the reservations to 10 people but they have nothing available. They have nothing available all week. We have raved about this place and some relatives decided at the last minute to come to DW. Has anyone had any luck getting last minute reservations for WCC during the week. We stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge and did not think these reservations were so hard to get as we saw people walking up without reservations and being seated. Has anyone had any recent experiences with this.

Does it have to be for dinner? I've been calling for dinner and the earliest they've had for 4 has been 8:10pm, so I have lunch res. You could also try doing a separate reservation for 3.

I didn't know it was that crowded! I've been to Whispering Canyon Cafe for both breakfast and lunch and I loved it both times! The first time we ever went was in August (not as crowded as July or Christmas but definitely more crowded then when you're going) and we just walked right in for lunch. The place wasn't empty, but we definitely didn't have a hard time getting a table and we didn't have to wait. So if you haven't tried for lunch yet, try to get a lunch reservation. Or you could even try for breakfast. Of course the food isn't the same as lunch/dinner, but I really enjoyed the breakfast and the place was just as fun as it was for lunch.

In my experiences there, dinner is the best time. Breakfast and lunch are OK but the kids really love it at dinnertime.

I was thinking maybe of splitting the reservation, too. Maybe they have something if you are willing to do that. We actually had to make one of our reservations like that and ended up at the same table anyway. Just a thought.

1) sssshhhhhhh
2) don't go spreading this around
3) wcc only books 80% of its available tables
4) the other 20% of capacity is used for walk-ups
5) you might have to wait a while, but you "should" get a table
6) best shot is to arrive just 15-min before opening and ask at podium

I ate there just last week. I had tried for about 1 1/2 months to get our ADR changed to a later time, but was told there was absolutely no availabilty. Imagine my surprise when we saw several walkups being taken the night we were there. Granted we were there just as they opened, but quite a few parties got in as walk ups.

They'll probably seat all ten of you just on your original reservation. Just don't say anything and when they seat you, go in. Those big round tables in that restaurant only seat six so they're gonna have to put you at a table that seats more than that anyway. Good luck.
