We will be visiting from 12/17 - 12/27. We've taken 3 trips during this time frame in the last 10 years and have used the same plan.

We do rope drop each morning until late morning and then return to BWV for a few hours. Late afternoon we return to a park which is convenient to our ADR.

We usually visit different parks in the morning and evening.

In the past we would get evening FP+ and use the morning to get on as many rides as possible. This plan has work fine for us in the past.

I've been reading a lot about people getting morning FP+ and then adding more after the first 3 are gone. If memory serves me right it seems like during that time of year FP+ are gone early for major attractions and therefore wouldn't be available later in the day.

That would leave us to battle the crowd for rides in the evening which doesn't seem as effective as RD in the morning and FP+ in the evening.

Any comments?

Thanks

I always book my fastpass+ for early I the day and end up getting at least 10 for the rest of the day. During my last visit mid March of this year I was able to get fastpasses for things like test track, soarin, and space mountain as late as 6 or 7 PM. It was only for 2 but I've always been able to get what I want.

I usually never schedule fps within the first few hours of park opening. I'd rather have quality fps set up for when crowds are big vs just going for quantity. Usually will start mine around 11am or at the second park if we're hopping.

No matter the time of year though odds are you'll have quite a few choices for extra FP's after your initial 3. Just headliners will likely be gone quicker during busier times

I agree with this. Why have FP for 9 when the ride is a walk on anyway. Sure you get more FP, but they aren’t needed in my opinion. The only exception to this is Epcot, where the good rides are all tier 1. I book the FP early there to use them up tonhave a chance for another Tier 1 FP.

Additional FP+ aren't hard to get. We were there for those exact days in 2017 (stayed through Jan 1st). We always used up our FP+ in the morning, though we never rope drop. We would get about 4-5 more FP+ on average per day. Had to work for some of them, but still got them.

Yep. We were there 16-28 Dec last year and got additional FPs for RNR, TSM, 7DMT, Space Mnt, FEA, Soarin, TT, Everest and even 2 for FOP over those days. Of course it was just me and my daughter. We rode RNR 4 times and TSM 3 times on Christmas Day last year. My daughter was in heaven.
