Championsgate resort

Hi, my family and I are staying at a villa in Championsgate for our second week of our disney vacation, I was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit about the surrounding area, i.e. good restaurants, supermarkets etc??

Across the street from Championsgate is a Publix grocery store in a small shopping complex with a McDonalds, Subway and a pizza place. There is also a Chili's restaurant. All of these places are close to the hotel.

Above post is right on.

CG is, however, kind of out in the middle of nowhere with the huge hotel sticking up in the otherwise empty skyline. From CG you can hop on I-4 and go east to Disney entrance about 3-4 miles. You can go west on I-4 to the highway 27 exit about 2 miles and there are lots of restaurants and a big shopping center with Target Super Store and Dollar Store for some essentials. Target is just 1/2 mile south on 27.

This is very nice upscale area with two big time golf courses. I think you will enjoy. It is away from all the craziness right around Disney on 192 and has good access now to Disney via I-4 east.

Thank-you for all your information - DW, DD(9) and I have booked to stay at the Omni for a week. Would DD like it there or should we book something more closer to the parks? Also, would you be able to recommend nice, reasonably priced restaurants nearby?
