I was watching the food network the other day and could swear one of the shows had a cocktail that was champagne and cranberry juice. I thought it sounded kind of good, but don't remember if that was all that was in it. did anyone see the show (can't remember which one) or has anybody made this before?

Cranberry Champagne Cocktail

bottle (750 ml) sparkling wine, cold
½ cup cranberry juice or cranberry juice cocktail
1 teaspoon angostura bitters
½ cup fresh or frozen cranberries or raspberries, for garnish

:cool1:

IS this it? I loooked on their website and this may be what you saw. There were no reviews. but this sounds good to me. I had something similar at a brunch and I liked it.

1-ounce cranberry juice (sweetened)
1 wedge lime
Champagne or sparkling wine
Cranberries (frozen)

In a chilled Champagne flute add cranberry juice and a squeeze of lime. Top off the glass with Champagne. Garnish with 3 or 4 cranberries.

On the Iron Chef America, with Giada and Rachel Ray, Mario made a perseco(sp?) which is basically Italian champagne, and cranberries. That was the secret ingredient

I've made the Cranberry Bog Coctail

1 part cranberry juice
4 parts champagne (the cheap stuff works ok in this, makes it taste better)
garnished with fresh cranberries

Went over fairly well a couple of years ago at the family Christmas dinner.

We just put an inch or two of cranberry juice cocktail (just juice makes it too tart IMO) in a champagne flute and top with champagne, then float a few berries.... very good and festive! The kids do the same thing with Sprite

Yum! I love Cranberry Juice and Champagne. I also love Pineapple Juice and Champagne.

Pomegranate Juice & Champagne... or the best ever drink.. Chambord and Champagne! :thumbsup2

Yes - Champagne and Chambord. I made it for a baby shower (new mom had the babies early and requested it) and it was a HUGE hit. We had a lot of fun "experimenting" with the proper proportions. I am not a big champagne fan, but it was delicious.

I had this at a Christmas party and the hostess called it a pointsettia. Sure was yummy!
