Just wondering how many people here get chalazions in their eye lids, and how many people have had one removed.
For a while I had them often. Dr said some people are just prone to them. I don't wear eye makeup because of it, but I do wear contacts. Usually they eventually just go away. Once I needed an ointment. I've been getting these for well over 15 yrs I think.
But I've got one right now that doesn't seem to want to go away with ointment. And I'm sort of bad at putting hot compresses on it several times a day.
Starting to think maybe I should have it removed instead. Haven't looked to see if its covered by insurance.
Its in office, right? Can't cost all that much if its not covered.

(do not try this at home!) I poked and pulled it with forcep-type tweezers. It came off...
