If you book an oversized aft balcony on the Dream or Fantasy and it does not have a chaise lounge on it but is big enough to hold one, will they bring you one on request?

Has anyone asked for one before? Any success? I've booked an eastern cruise with 3 sea days and sure would love to spend some time on our oversized balcony on a chaise!

I have only seen them in pictures on the deck 10 aft balconies. I haven't heard if anyone has been successful in requesting them, but I am planning to ask on our cruise in 2 weeks. I will post back. We are in 6192, which is one of the bigger aft balconies. There is no reason a couple of loungers would not fit.

Thanks, I'll be interested to hear if you get them. Our stateroom balcony is not super huge, but from some photos I've seen of 6688, it looks like at least one lounge chair will fit.

We had 2 lounge chairs when we were in room 9764 on the Dream...I just thought all the balconies had them! ;) I hope we don't have a problem getting them on our next cruise in Nov. room 9172 :thumbsup2

I did a B2B on the dream 1/22/12 and 1/26/12. My stateroom was 7190. It had a large aft balcony with 2 chairs for sitting and a small table. I asked my stateroom host for a lounge chair and it was delivered to my room that day no problem.

Please take extra good care of 6192 and tell them to leave the lounge chairs. We'll be in that room on 2/23! :woohoo:

If they won't bring you an extra one, you could always sneak up to the pool deck in the middle of the night and "borrow" one. :tiptoe::ssst::rolleyes1:lmao:

I am aft on my upcoming trip, and will be happy to report on this when I return....I really would love a lounger :cloud9:

We have an oversized balcony on Deck Five on an upcoming cruise in mid-February. Do you think they would allow a lounge chair there?

We are also on a deck 5 4E extended balcony. So I am very curious.

When people say that they have HAD a lounger on their balcony, are they talking about a chaise lounge or just a chair with a taller back that reclined. I am actually wondering if they would bring a lounger down like the BIG ones by the quiet cove pool that you can lay on? Even better if they had those amazing cushions on it....

I'm probably just wishing...

In my case it was just a chair with a taller back that reclined. It was fine and worked well for my DH who used it the most. So I didn't ask for anything else. He made do by placing two chairs together if he wanted to lay down flat. He also used towels as cushions. Now on second thought maybe we should have asked for a quite cove lounge chair. Just never thought of it at the time.

:laughing:I keep picturing someone carrying these loungers down the halls.
"Where ya taking that one?"
"Can you give me a hand with this??"
:rotfl2:
LOL!!

But do you think they would really honor the request of bringing a quiet cove lounger? We would just be right off the elevator if that would make a difference. I would even help someone carry it or do it myself if I had permission ha.

Yes....ours were the blue chairs with the back that reclined. I guess not the "fancy-shmancy" chaise loungers that people are talking about. They were PERFECT for our needs and actually very comfortable...so much so that I napped in it one afternoon! I sat in one of the chaise loungers on deck and honestly either one is quite comfy...plus you ARE on a Disney Cruise! THAT is a treat in and of itself IMHO!

Yes I'm sure any one would be comfy. I was just curious but maybe since the Dream cruises are typically shorter people were not out there enough to even ask or see if it could happen. I would imagine it would be quite a pain and thats probably why they dont do it. I was just curious if it has been done before

This is the lounge chair that was on the balcony of room 9172 on the Dream. The only rooms I've seen that have the nicer lounge chairs are the suites.

Thanks for the photo, justmestace. That is exactly the type of chaise I'm talking about. It would be so wonderful for me to get one as I like to spend a lot of time just reading and relaxing on sea days.

Glad to know someone has at least gotten a request filled.

I don't know if they will fit on the 4E extended balconies. The aft balconies are larger than those and some are a lot wider. Previous cruisers are saying the center aft balcony rooms like we are crusing in have 10x10 balconies or larger.

THIS is what i want for our cruise. It would be heaven to be able to just sit and watch the sun come up in one of those!:cloud9:

Are these on all aft cabins? We have 6188 on our next cruise and was wondering if there is room for these since it is at an angle. Has anyone stayed there that has pictures of the room?
