Us miserable peasants have the nasty habit of sitting down on the odd occasion that everything is working (rare these days) they are talking about taking the chairs away BUT there is a rumour (please be wrong) that the chairs in the locker room and canteen are doomed. Surely that would be ilegal? The union is saying its going to fight it but after the debacle of the pay talks (the area rep recommended telling members to accept, local reps recomended rejection loosing quite a bit of money and accellerating redundancies)so I am not sure they have any leverage with the firm anymore.
Oh when they do I am sitting on the machinery!!!!!!!! The point is they say we need to increase productivity, we often don't complete orders BUT the reason we don't fill orders is because they run out of raw materials (fruit, wheat, in a company whose main product is a wheat based breakfast cereal) or packaging, we can make it but cant pack it! In one day alone we counldnt do 5 orders because a we didn't have the right fruit and b we didn't have any of the right packaging!
