Ch..Ch...Changes - To the DIS Boards

From our Fearless Leaders:

Over the next few months you are going to notice some major changes to the way the boards are moderated. We will be decentralizing the management of the individual boards and the moderators will be assuming a much larger role in how their individual boards are run. You will notice some shifting of moderators as we implement this as well as additional new moderators.
We are very excited about this concept as we feel it will help each board become more responsive to the community it serves.

For this quiet little corner of the DIS, this won't mean much. I'm still going to be moderating the Rumors & News board, and since I've been the only moderator here for a while I've already had a lot of autonomy. It does mean that I'll have a little more freedom in how the rules are enforced, but that my decisions will be pretty much final. I don't expect that things will change much as far as the type of discussions allowed, etc.

We are pleased to announce a new board dedicated to Photography! Moderated by AZ JazzyJ and Brisully, who are both very experienced and expert photographers this will be a great place to get advice on equipment, how to get the best shots and any other photography topics!

I think that's it for now, but I'll keep you all posted about additional changes as they happen.
