We'll be making our first trip "home" to BCV in November and I have a couple of questions regarding dining and Character breakfasts.

We'll be using our kitchen facilities a lot but there will be times when we want to eat out...but I don't feel like making all those reservations ahead of time (I'm trying to be relaxed about this trip). Is it possible to get dining reservations if I call when we get down there and is any dining time better than another (say late lunch-early dinner)?

Also, is there a character breakfast held at BCV and if not, what's the process for into one elsewhere?

Thanks,

Deb

How exciting to be making your first trip home! I hope you love BCVs as much as we do!:) Let me try to answer your questions:

1. You don't say when you are going to be there in November, or where you think you might want to eat. If you're going around Veteran's Day or Thanksgiving, it will probably be quite crowded, therefore reservations may be hard to come by.

2. If it's crowded and your don't have PS reservations, we've found that showing up at the beginning of a serving time tends to make it a little easier to get seated without a wait. If your flexible, you should be able to find something to eat. TIP: Any of the dining kiosks can make PS reservations for the other restaurants, so if you stop by Sci-Fi for a bite to eat, and they are full, they can check and get you a PS at Mama Melrose, 50's PT, Brown Derby, etc... it could save you some searching ;)

3. There is a Character Breakfast held at the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club. The characters are Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale. Once you are at BCV, the process for getting a PS for a character meal is to either stop by a kiosk, or press the "dining" button on the phone in your room to make the PS.

Thanks very much for the tips HTH! We're actually going to be there from Nov. 7-15 so hopefully, it won't be too crowded, other than that for the Food and Wine Festival.

Thanks again, I'll keep that info. in mind.

Most of our trips have been in January and September, and we have never had any touble making PS ressies after we are there. If you plan on major Character breakfasts, I would do that now. We usually do the Garden Grill or 1900 Park Fare, and have had no trouble doing them last minute.
