can you go to CG just for drinks in the bar area or do you have to have a dining reservation?
Thx, brothers wedding anniversary so thought it might be nice to do

It depends on how crowded they are since the bar area is used frequently by people waiting for their dining tables. You have to check in downstairs in order to access the elevator to go up; that's the only way to know if there is room for you. We've waited, more than once, for our dining table standing against a wall because there was no room in the bar to sit.

From what I've read here, you'll have better success if you go right when the restaurant opens.

The lounge area of CG is just for that purpose, people who do not have ADRs for the restaurant itself.

It's on a first come first served basis, so do check in as early as possible.

It's not the bar, that's a small area. I'm talking about the lounge area where drinks and some food is served at small tables and you have a view of the fireworks.
