I'm interested in having dessert at the California Grill and watching Wishes. I've never made an ADR for just dessert and not a full meal; is there any reason I can't or shouldn't do this? (I know the food there is great . . . it's just a tad pricey for my budget, and I can tell from their kids' menu that there's nothing my picky-eater DS will eat.)

Also, if I make an ADR for just dessert, how should I time it to be there during Wishes?

I am wondering this very thing.

I don't see why it would be a problem if you just want a dessert. You're a paying customer. I don't know about timing though. We went to CG last December for dinner and had a window seat. Which was obstructed by a huge support pole thing so we couldn't hardly see any of MK. But we weren't there to see the fireworks either. The table next to us apparently had waited for a window seat for this purpose but we were toward the back of the restaurant and I could tell by their conversation they weren't happy that they couldn't see. I would get a table maybe an hour to an hour and a half before Wishes as you don't know how long you'll have to wait (even with an ADR we had to wait 25-30 min.) or how long you have to wait for your dessert.
