Hi

I have asked in advance (1 1/2 years) for a certain room when we stay at disney. Its the room we stayed in when we got married in disney last year and i have to be in that room again (silly I know but it holds so many memories)

Any tips on ensuring I get my room everyone?

To be honest, I doubt you will get the same room but I do wish you luck.

I've done a faxed request in the past for a specific location but not specific room and it paid off.

Obviously if the room is vacant before you arrive and someone wants to stay in it for a period that begins before you arrive and ends after you arrive then Disney will fill it and then allocate you a room elsewhere.

Sadly, I agree with the others that there's no way to guarantee you'll get 'your' room.

However, the room allocations aren't usually arranged until a few days before guests' arrival dates so, although you've already asked, I'd suggest faxing through a copy of your request again 3 to 5 days before you'll arrive.

Good luck!

Did you ask for the room when you booked? My understanding is that the best way of having such special requests met is to ask at the booking stage - that way they're recorded. I've heard that the fax requests are unpopular with the room assignors and are no longer recommended.

I do hope you get your room, but if you don't, try to let it go. No point spoiling both your vacation and your memories. :)
