Ok, I know it's weird. And I know I'm not getting married any time soon (gotta find a willing victim, er, fiance first :lmao: ). But I was sitting here and avoiding some research I should be doing about the Imperial Roman Army by wondering if anybody has ever heard of a wedding at Animal Kingdom. Personally I think Asia would be especially cool. And it's not like you'd disturb the animals or anything, I mean, they've got tours that run through there so... is it just something not many people think of? I'll stop writing now and do some work. :rotfl:

I haven't ever heard of anyone getting married at Animal Kingdom it would be nice if you wanted to do it during the day b/c they close earlier than the other parks. :yay:

I know you can do it in EPCOT and MK(MK-for a HIGH price), but I have never heard of AK.

A couple of years ago there were rumors that Disney was looking at several other new locations for wedding ceremonies. One of them was AK (or perhaps more specifically at AKL).

I never heard anything after that so I don't know if it's still a consideration or not.

You never know what Disney may do in coming years...especially with the new AK Villas.

You know, there's always faith, hope, and pixie dust! ;) pixiedust:

Yes, you can get married at animal kingdom. They have a special patio for this very thing. The Disney food network special actually featured a couple getting married at AKL.

I think DISer Skylarr is having her reception inside AK - or at least she was planning to at one point...

Yes, our rehearsal dinner is inside Animal Kingdom. I am not sure about an actual wedding but if we can have our rehearsal dinner there, I don't see how that would be any different.

The location we were offered is called the Tamu Tamu courtyard with a back up location of pizzafari if the weather is bad. We are going to have a 'mix - in' on the last safari of the day and then head over for dinner. So far, all I know is it is $13.50 per person to ride the safari and we have to have a buffet at this location. I think maximum number of guests is 50.
