Cereal and milk still one snack credit?

I know that last year on the deluxe dining plan we could get a small bowl of cereal and a carton of milk for one snack credit at the food courts in the All Star resorts. My boys think I am killing them if they skip a meal even if we have an early lunch planned, so this was the perfect solution and only used one snack credit each. Is this still an option or did they stop it recently? Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not sure. But I am planning to take some breakfast items for the room. Not to save money, but to save time. We plan on being at EMH rope drop every day. I will take some cereal and buy milk and fruit at the resort each day before. Then eat a quick, healthy breakfast before running out the door. We will go to parks, do 2-3 quick rides, then slow down and head to Main STreet bakery or something for another snack or if not needed, plan a lunch about 11:00 and later snack. My kids eat better when we do several smaller meals anyway and they are so thin that I need to keep feeding them. Everyone is excited in the mornings and we don't want a lengthy breakfast stop and they really need their morning fuel.

In June when we stayed at the Beach Club we were charged 2 snack credits for this -- one credit for the milk and one credit for the cereal. Each item was always logged as a separate credit. We weren't allowed to get two items for 1 credit even if the price was low.

Strangely, I think it varies from resort to resort. If you look at the "confirmed 2010 snack credits" thread, some resorts show "cereal and small milk" as one credit while others show cereal as one and milk as one. When we stayed at Pop last April, it was one credit for both the cereal and milk; at POFQ in August, it was two credits. Very strange.

Thanks everyone! We are definitely a rope drop group as well. I do not usually eat breakfast at all, but the boys have to have it. That is why the cereal and milk was the perfect solution. If that is now two credits, I may bring their bowls and cereal from home and just get a milk with the snack credit like a previous poster said. Or, we could always just hit up a bakery or CS location in each park for a quick morning snack after getting our must do rides done. That will likely hold them over until our early lunches each day.

We stayed at All Star Music in Feb 09 and many mornings we grabbed a box of cereal for our kids to eat as we rushed off to the parks. They ate it dry from the box (they like it like this, even eat it this way at home). I can't say for sure that we could not have also gotten the milk, but no one ever said, "hey you can have milk too" and we didn't even think to ask. But if so, that would be awesome and we'll definitely be doing so on our next trip in March!! At any rate, this is a great use of a snack credit for the kids. We still left with several leftover snack credits.
