Ceramic Tile, Carpet or Laminate Wood....pics added

It is but people swear that dog nails don't scratch it...:confused3 I wonder if that is true.

There are different type/grades of laminate flooring.....whether it is Pergo or some other brand. We have Pergo in our kitchen and dining room. Our dog is always running/sliding through that area....our Pergo is "textured" and the planks are about 11" x 46" - it is really beautiful. We have had this particular type of Pergo for 2 years and not 1 scratch from our big dog!! Seriously - not 1 scratch. We bought it at Home Depot - in stock. It is a great floor & I highly recommend it.

We had a flooring estimate from Home Depot. It was unbelievable. There were so many extra charges on there that added up to thousands.

I have a question for those that are putting tile in their houses. Are you having it put diagonally or straght. We were going to have it straight but our tile guy said diagonal. We are very happy with the results.

We are getting ready to tile a bathroom after we find tiles we like.

I love hearing about everyone's experiences.

We purchased the laminate from Home Depot, but we installed it ourselves.
Took a couple weekends, but well worth the savings.....

We had a house with 1200 sq ft of ceramic tile....I loved the tile but hated the grout.....The grout in the bathroom and kitchen always looked dirty.....We are going to have wood installed in our entry, formal living/dining, tile (very little grout line) in the kitchen and a tight berber in the family room....

We wanted to install the laminate ourselves, too, but DH just doesn't have the time.

Chris2597, What color was the grout? We went with a sand colored grout in our kitchen because the white grout in our old bathrooms always looks dirty.
