Central Florida Zoo in is this a Nay or Yay?

We are staying one night in Lake Mary and I was wondering if a 2.5 year old would enjoy this zoo and if it was worth the price of admission? This is the zoo in Sanford just north of Orlando.

We went there around 6 years ago when our son was about the same age. It was OK. We live near the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Ohio which is outstanding and the Central Florida Zoo doesn't even compare. If you have another zoo membership you may be able to get in for half price like we did. If you are looking for something to fill the day then it might be a nice option, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

I would say nay. We were there in 2010 and I was very disappointed in the zoo itself. The animals were in very small cages/areas. The water play area was great, but not worth the price of admission.
