Hi everyone,
My son is graduating from college and we are having a cookout to celebrate. I am renting tables with cloth tablecloths. I would like to put something nice on each table and was wondering if anyone had any fun, creative, simple ideas? Thanks!

I saw a variety of mortar board style caps out of cardboard at the dollar store last weekend. You could print something such as Andrew Lastname - State College - '03 on the computer and glue that to the top.

Another thought (depending on budget) is to place small notebooks for guests to write memories/messages and/or perhaps disposable cameras...

Or a few carnations in small glasses in his school colors...

That notebook idea is so neat! I'll have to remember that one and the cameras too! Small chalkboards (Michael's use to carry them) with a congrats msg. in an arrangement of carnations - school colors - of course! Or an arrangement with horns, one for each place setting - use for a salute or toast.

Congratulations to you both!! And here's to a bright future for him!!

Thank-you both for the replies! I think I will definately do something with flowers in his school colors, now to come up with what to arrange them in...thanks again! :)
