What cell phone do you have?

I need a new phone. I have Verizon. I primarily use the phone just as a phone but also need the ability to use the calendar to keep track of some of the scheduling things that I have. I was going back and forth between the LG Dare and the Verizon Wireless XV6900 which is more of a PDA.

Moms - Do any of you have a PDA or Blackberry? Why? What do you use it for?

I actually bought the Verizon Wireless xv6900 today but I am wondering if it's too much PDA for me. I don't need the data package and you can have this phone without it. It would be neat to have but I don't need it or want to spend the money on it.

Thanks.

I have an old Virgin Mobile one from Target, but I hardly use it. I only need to be reached in an emergency. So I can't help you LOL!

blackberry curve....I am a SAHM but I use it for everything! drs appts, school meetings, vacation schedule,dh work functions ect...it took me a few days to learn to use it but I like it alot....it replaced my coach day planner :sad1: and I just got a new refill for it I guess i will put it on e bay lol

The one i got is very similar to a blackberry. I didn't specifically want a blackberry because DH has one and i just don't care for it too much. I like it but it's difficult to type or something ...

I have AT&T and was eligible for an upgrade. I debated on buying a new phone, nothing wrong with the old one....BUT, they had a refurbished Blackberry Pearl for $49.99 (w/new 2 yr contract) so I broke down and bought it. I had never spent $$ for a phone before this, always chose one that was free with a new contract....been with AT&T/Cingular/AT&T for about 7 years now.

My last phone was a Nokia 6120 and I used the calculator and calendar in addition to the phone and texting, but I wanted more after taking it to the beach and checking the weather a couple of times and on the drive home wondering if there was a faster/shorter route back home.

I chose the Pearl because it has GPS (AT&T Navigator) capability. Accessing the internet is much faster, but I currently don't have a data plan so I must use it sparingly (pay per use). I can access my Comcast email on my phone, so no need for a Blackberry account, or the data plan, at this time.

The (smart)phone has a lot of features I probably won't use, but I like the fact that should I change careers and need them they will be there. I don't care for the calculator on it, but in a pinch it's there. I do use the calendar a lot and set reminders all the time.

I have heard that the blackberry curve is easier to use than the others....something about the keyboard and the keys being spaced out more making it easier to text..I could be wrong but I find the texting to be as easy as the rumer I had.the planner is very good,I love it and the e mail is easy also.
also to one of the other posters how do you get to your comcast without getting the service plan? I have the data plan,it was 15.00 a month.

Verizon is going to be releasing a new touchscreen blackberry that looks very awesome. They also have the HTC Touch Diamond Pro which is another very awesome phone.

Don't tell me this ... I usually end up wanting something different just after I buy another one!!

This is the one I have

Sorry the HTC Diamond is not on Verizon but the HTC Touch Pro is. The Blackberry Thunder is also going to be on Verizon. The touch is also a good phone. You should be happy with it. The phone I mentioned are not out yet but will be out by the end of the year.

I have a Palm Treo and I really like it - though it's smarter than I am!

I am slowly moving to using it for calendaring, instead of carrying around a big calendar. I love being able to Dis on it, text with a keyboard, check email, etc.

I bought mine used on Ebay since I wasn't eligible for an upgrade for another 1.5 years.

I got the Voyager last week, after testing out the Envy for less than a day and hating it. I had the original Chocolate before that and I really liked it.

I wanted a qwerty keyboard though for texting. I love the touch screen features and it is super simple to use, plus I can get my email pretty easily on it. It has lots of extra features like multiple alarm clocks, tip calculator, calendar, etc. plus it can store a pretty significant amount of music on it, and the camera is excellent, better quality than some of my digital camera pictures.

This one has made me pretty darn happy, and I looked at or played with just about every phone on the market right now before I bought.

I have verizon and I have the LG dare I love the phone there is nothing wrong with it but it all depends on what you use a phone for. I use all my features on my phone :) cmy life is my phone I guess lol

My oldest daughter has the new Env2 and my youngest has the Voyager, I think it is called. I have a plain jane Samsung because I also have an Iphone with AT&T. AT&T has terrible coverage where I live so my girls and I are Verizon Family Plan customers - but I use that phone for calls and texting only. I still have an Iphone for web stuff and email while I am out and about - I would hate to miss a notification that Bath & Body Works was having a sale while I was stuck in carpool, and now I am notified instantly!!:rotfl:
