Cell phone service

Any truth to the rumor that Disney will be installing its own cell towers which will limit on-property cell phone calls to "Where are you?" "We're at..." "Okay, let's meet at _ in x minutes", or sixty seconds, whichever comes first?

We have Verizon and the only place we had problems during the last two trips was at CSR. For some reason it would not pick up in our room. But, all we had to do was to step outside and it picked right up. But, at AKL and the parks we had no problem either.

Signals were never a problem with our cell phones at WDW. We have a rule that we try to call each other at least 30-45 minutes ahead of when we want to meet them.

It seems like we always call each other when we are on a ride, or in a noisy place in line and can't hear the phone. I never really realized how noisy WDW was until I was listening for a cell phone call.

So if you want to meet someone at 3:00, try calling them at 2:00! Hopefully they'll get the message by then!

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are asking. I could not imagine them not having their towers up. I'm not sure how that would limit other service unless they actually took their towers down. I don't see why or how other cell service would be interupted. If I'm way off on this, could some one explain.
