Cell phone coverage in Akron Ohio

anybody here live in akron that can tell me a reasonable carrier there? i live in florida and have metro pcs. it's $40/month, including all taxes, for unlimited everything (local & long distance, texting, web, etc). also no contract.

do you all have a similar service in the akron area???

Try looking into Revol. I haven't heard anything on MetroPCS in years so I'm thinking it's not up here.

I (and most everyone I know) use Verizon. You can look at their website for rates. Sorry, I'm not familiar with any other carriers.

If you don't want a contract you could do Revol but check their coverage area. Also other options would be tmobile or AT&T prepaid if you don't want a contract. Regular carriers would be verizon or AT&T but expect to pay a premium price for sure. Other option would be to keep metro pcs as they are in the Detroit area and see if they offer free roaming in the Cleveland / Akron area. I know that they have a roaming agreement with Revol but not sure if you would pay a fee or not.

I think pricing is going to be the same across the nation, and among providers, there is just too much competition for it not to be.

I'd call up the coverage maps. A good deal is useless with no service.
I'm not familar with Revol, but looking at their coverage map, they use Sprint's network.
