Hi everyone!

I posted this in a vegan thread, but would love input from anyone who might be able to help. I didn't want to post this in the DISabilities thread as I thought I might get more input here.

I am going to Disney for the first time since 1992, but obviously back then things were a lot different!

To give you some background, I have celiac disease (and am a very sensitive celiac). I also have a dairy allergy, which is "fine" because I am a vegan. But for that, I really have to watch cross-contamination.

I'm traveling with my mom. She is not a vegan, but has restrictions also... She can't have gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, legumes (including all legumes and peanuts) and yeast. However, the gluten, dairy, and soy are the biggest for her.

I made my reservations months ago (right on the day), and am wondering if anyone has any feedback! I would really, really appreciate as I'm not adverse to changing anything (yesterday, actually, I switched to Jiko for one of the meals).

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. I am doing the Princess Half Marathon on the Sunday, so that is why we don't have a reservation that night... I'm not sure what the day will bring. I never, ever eat out so this is a "big step" for me.

My favourite meal of the day is breakfast/brunch so that is why there is a brunch the day after the race - celebration! But again, I can always move that to the Sunday if it is available. I have no idea!

Day 1 - Boatwright's Dinner
Day 2 - Jiko Dinner
Day 3 - no reservation
Day 4 - Boma brunch
Day 5 - California Grill Dinner
Day 6 - 50's Prime Time Lunch
Day 7 - Sanaa Dinner
Day 8 - 1900 Park Fare Dinner
Day 9 - Kouzzina Dinner
Day 10 - Boma Dinner
Day 11 - Tusker House Dinner

Any insight (are these good? bad? should I change something? what to note? what to order?) would be SO appreciated!

I have a dairy allergy and I also don't eat meat or soy (but I will eat eggs if they are cooked in food, not on their own). I haven't eaten at any of these restaurants but it has been my experience that the chef's will find something for you to eat. Have you filled out the allergy form special diets sends out? I always do and often times it isn't recorded anyway. When I check in I tell the hostess and then my server and a chef will come out, but it may take a while.

The only place I have ever felt horrible after eating is California grill. My meal seemed fine when I was eating it so I am not sure why I reacted.

I know they can make gf/df/sf/ mickey waffles. I am pretty sure they're egg free b/c I think some vegans on the board have eaten them. They have a buckwheaty taste but I really like them.

Good luck!!

My only recommendation to you is be very careful at the buffets looks like you have 3 of them booked Boma twice and Tusker House (not sure if this is a buffet) for the cross contamination we had this very issue at one of them and were in the hospital 45 minutes later. We no longer due the buffets that's the only way to guarantee safety for my kids.

Good point, and my first impression, on seeing this OP posted for the second time, is that perhaps the question should be posted in the DISabilities forum, where it might gain more replies from folks who need to address the same dietary requirements. (It's not like there being some chicken stock in an allegedly vegetarian dish - we vegetarians generally don't end up in the hospital from things like that.)
