There have been a few celebrity sightings threads on this forum over the years, including the one that Belle Ella linked above.
Actually - and I hate to give credit to the 'enemy camp'
- MiceChat has a great celebrity sightings thread (it was originally 2 or 3 separate threads merged into one big thread) with all kinds of candid photos. They are always reporting on the latest sightings, like each week, so it's pretty current, more or less.
It's funny that lapdwife mentioned seeing Lisa Marie Presley and Nicolas Cage "back in the day" (when they were married). I did
not see them at
Disneyland, but I saw them walking right through the tiny town of Avalon on Catalina Island back in 2001. I think it was over Labor Day weekend, if I recall - or right before it. They did not have a big posse with them - maybe just one guy - and Avalon is a very casual beach town, so there were no mobs of fans or photographers chasing them around. However, it was hard not to stare because Nic is so tall and Lisa Marie is much shorter than you'd expect when she's standing next to him.
About a week later or so, US or People magazine ran a piece about what celebrities did for Labor Day weekend, and there was a photo of Nic and Lisa Marie on a boat which was docked off of Catalina. So when we saw them in town, they must have come in to eat or whatever. Apparently they had a fight on the boat that same weekend and Lisa Marie tossed her ring into the sea! They were arm in arm when we saw them, so the fight must have been later!
At Disneyland, however, I have seen actor Paul Sorvino (Mira's dad) and his wife, Dallas Raines (famous, leather-skinned local weatherman here in L.A.) with his family, Natasha (sp?) McElhone of "Californication" and a lady named Marilyn (last name is Grabowski, I think??) who looks like Joni Mitchell and used to work with Hugh Hefner at Playboy Magazine. In other words...nobody exciting yet. I hold out hope, though!
I never get to see anyone exciting at Disneyland like Christian Bale, Courtney Cox, Ben Affleck, JLo, John Stamos, Johnny Depp, etc. It seems like other people spot these celebs a lot, but I don't go at the right time to see anyone famous, I suppose.
