Can anyone tell me about Celebrity Resorts in Lake Buena Vista? We're looking at a Getaway through Interval International and that one is popping up and looks pretty nice - but I want first hand opinions if I can find them :)

Thanks!
Amanda

You will get differing opinions on these boards as to Celebrity Resorts in Lake Buena Vista and Kissimmee.

We have stayed in a 3 BR (twice) at Lake Buena Vista. We have found them nice, clean, spacious.... I would recommend it as a place to stay. The pool area is small and the front desk service is iffy (but we only talk to them at check in and check out). The Master Bedroom is a king bed with nice size bathroom with a spacious hot-tub bath. The second bedroom is two queen beds and the third bedroom is a den with a mini-fridge and foldout sofa. There is a full kitchen and washer/dryer. It is within a minute of Downtown Disney and just a couple minutes from Sea World. The location is good and there is not much traffic.

So as far as my opinion.... I don't know what you're used to staying in.... but we find them nice for vacations.

If you want to send me a private message with further questions, let me know.

Thank you. I am used to staying on Disney property in a value resort. However, my dd (4) and a friend and her dd (also 4) are looking at taking a trip in January and the two girls are on different schedules as far as sleeping - mine goes to bed and gets up early and hers goes to bed and gets up late. So sharing a hotel room didn't work out quite like we thought when we did our girls trip this past January. We want to have a common area to hang out and the ability to save money by having some meals at the resort. I would like a decent pool area in case it is warm enough to swim. And I would like a playground for the mornings for DD while we're waiting on our friends to get around or some other type of "entertainment". Can you compare Celebrity Resorts to the Sheraton Vistana?

There are only 60 3 bedroom units at the Celebrity Resort Lake Buena Vista. We own a week there and the unit as the previous poster is laid out well for two separate families as you can lock one side out from the other. Vistana is very big with hundreds of units. THere is alot more to do at Vistana. At Vistana there is always tons to do, if you are planning on spending time enjoying a resort. IF not then Celebrity especially with small children is small and easy to get around. ALso the pool is small so you can keep an eye on the children no matter where you sit.

Well my friend wants a laid back relaxing vacation (as do I) but she is my ticket into the parks so we will have some time that we will definitely want to enjoy the resorts - and I'm sure some will be evenings....but probably more mornings - does Vistana have morning stuff? Since it's a "girls" trip the ability to lock out isn't important to us at all.
