Celebrity handprints at MGM

I never really paid attention to the handprints that celebrities have made at MGM. Are they scattered around? Are they in any particular area? My DD is a figure skater and she would love to get her photo taken with Michelle Kwan's. Help me out here!

You know, we also have this question. There are a lot of celebrities that have done their handprints that are on display (e.g. N Sync). What do they do with them all?

We asked a CM last time we were there and they didn't know.

Some are in front of the Great Movie Ride and some are in the theatre area where Beauty and the Beast is. I don't know where any others are.

They are just around the Great Movie Ride and Beauty and the Beast. I'm pretty sure the prints of old(and dead) people are replicas.

Every handprint at the Studios -- at least those at the Chinese Theatre -- was made by the actual person. Though many of those stars are dead now, there was a huge group at the Studios for the grand opening, and they all did the "handprint / footprint" thing. Even the character prints are originals done at WDW. I don't believe there are any "classic" stars prints there (Humphrey Bogart, Groucho Marx, etc.) Everyone is (or was ... ) current.

Speaking of handprints. If you find yourself at Universal, you can find some between IOA and USF. In front of the NBA restaurant, there is a display with a number of basketballs. Each one has the hand print of a famous basketball player. You wouldn't believe how big the hands are.

well, they have the big name celebrities in the ground, but the others go into storage.....I asked a CM one day and that's what they told me....there aren't very many handprints in the ground in the first place.....
