Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars

My guess would be that they printed up cartons for next week, after the winner is chosen, but are using those cartons now when they're restocking. They probably also printed cartons congratulating Penn

FINALLY found a Walgreen's! had to drive to the next town over, but I got some! I bought one of Trace's, and three of Penn's. Gotta make my vote count!

i noticed that after you mentioned it! And it is printed on both flavors....possible spoiler alert?

According to Walgreens Facebook page. There was an error and Penn's package was supposed to say that 40,000 was donated to opportunity village. Apparently Walgreen 's donated to both charities.

(may or may not be the truth or could be a good cover up)

I guess we'll find out on Sunday. But I find it a little hard to believe that there would be such an error (can someone say "you're fired!" to the person who alllegedly made the error in printing?? LOL).

It seems to me that Trace's behaviour indicates that he somehow knew he was going to win, right from the start. They are both excellent charities so ultimately I don't care who wins, but I like Penn much better than Trace.

Or perhaps Trace won the challenge, but not the whole show? i think it is great that Walgreen's will donate to both charities, because they are probably making a KILLING on ice cream sales this week.

One thing that sets Penn apart from Trace for me is that every challenge Penn preforms. If they need entertainment, Boom! he is juggling, he is doing magic, he is calling Teller into town. Trace Adkins is an A List level star in country music. Instead of saying dang, I can't get anyone, he should have picked up his guitar and rocked it. Hunter Hayes is awesome, but still in the opening act stage of his career. Trace Adkins is a headliner. As much as Lil John didn't step up to perform in that challenge, neither did Trace and no one called him on it.
On a side note, I ate the Swirtle... Good stuff, but still don't know how i feel about chunks of salt in my ice cream. It confuses me. :rotfl2:

Did anyone notice that in the small print on the side of the containers it says "Walgreen's has generously donated $40,000. to the American Red Cross"?? Does this mean that Trace has already been decided as the winner?? :confused3 There was a small logo of Penn's charity on the front of the container, but nothing about a donation.

Since Sunday will be a LIVE finale on stage in some theatre, I doubt that Walgreens would know ahead of time, before Trump announces, who wins the whole show. It would be like him to NOT tell anyone as some mistake like this happens, or someone leaks it and steals his thunder. I also think he's the kind of person, who, IF it was leaked that one person won, he'd change his decision right at the finale, just to make the rumours wrong. And he wouldn't care what was printed ahead of time on cartons.

More than likely, Trace won the task. BUT, Walgreens is supposed to decide that by how many pints will be sold over the other flavor. They couldn't have known that at time of printing. Unless the "results" which will be said later in the Boardroom are all a lie, just to create more drama & suspense for the show. I.E. one guy wins. But will that guy be picked by Trump? OR Trump wants one guy to win so they skew the numbers ahead of time, so he has a "legitimate" reason to pick him? :scratchin Anything is possible when it comes to reality TV.

You know, when a company says on its facebook page that it donated to BOTH charities...I tend to believe them.

Yes, of course they say that NOW, after they realized the wrong labels went out early. And they need to cover their butts and not ruin the show. And yes, I do believed they coughed up another $40,000 to give to the other charity.

But, in previous tasks, only the winner of the task gets money from the company. They have never donated equally to both charities.

But then again, this is the final task, and maybe Walgreens fought to be the final task by being willing to give to both charities, so both guys win AND both ice cream flavors continue to be sold in their stores. That's a win-win for everybody. (Unless one flavor really doesn't sell well.)

I'm going to go back and re-watch last week's episode, because the Walgreen's press releases from the last few days say they will donate $100K to the winner's charity. The FB page says they donated $40K to each charity before the competition.

Interesting edit....

Usually you'll see a shot of Trump with the execs. Trump usually says "the winner will receive..." and then the corporate rep says "and we will add...."

This time there was a close up of Trump saying the winner's charity would receive $200K, and no comment at all from the Walgreen's execs.

Saying they donated $40K to the red cross is on the cartons of both Trace's AND Penn's ice cream. I found that kind of weird since they were advertising for the competitor's charity on Penn's ice cream.

ANYWAY, they were on sale 2/$5 at our walgreens so I bought 2 of each. I hope Penn wins, but I have to admit I like Trace's ice cream better. I think Penn needed something more in his. Maybe something crunchy like pecans. But I like lots of substance in my ice cream and I like getting lots in every spoonful. I had several spoonfuls of Penn's ice cream that was just vanilla. Trace's is VERY tasty!

I went to several Walgreen's in the area and couldn't find Trace's anywhere. My intention was to buy both (and I did buy Penn's but I still haven't tried it yet), but I was shocked that no one had Trace's in stock. I said something to the cashier at the last Walgreen's I went to and she said, "Sorry, some lady came in and bought everything we had." :scratchin I live in the Nashville area and I'm thinking someone was given the money to do this for Trace. Not necessarily a bad way to go about it, but I wanted to try that darn ice cream!

As you get down in the carton there is more "stuff" in Penn's ice cream and now I really like it, too. So I would say it is a tie. But if you are only taking one bite and not eating a whole bowl, I think Trace's has a better first impression.

Since this happened in Nashville, Trace's own stomping grounds, I would think instead, that someone was having a party and wanting to use his ice cream at their party. Why would anyone in Nashville by Penn's ice cream over the home town boy's?

well, I had to drive to the next town to find a Walgreens, but I finally got my Ice Cream on Friday!
I gave everyone a taste test, and our house has a definite gender divide. DH and DS prefer the Mash-up while the two DDs and I love the swirtle! DD10 didn't even finish the half a scoop of maple! I have NEVER seen ice cream go uneaten before!!

And regarding the packaging, a good friend of mine brought up the point that $40,000 sure sounds like 2nd place money. ;)

can't wait! This might just be the first time in the history of reality TV that the person i want to win actually wins!! A few more hours till i find out!

I still say this show is all about the scripting and agents. I was completely convinced of this when Arsenio beat Clay and a month later it was announced that Arsenio was launching a new talk show. When Joan R beat Annie and a month later Melania launched a jewelry line on QVC where Joan is a big player.

I predict the winner of this season will have an announcement of some sort in the next month or so maybe a concert or a new show. It won't matter who performed better..it is all what the agents negotiate.

I was disappointed when they started the celebrity version of this show since it was only about the biggest donors of money and agents. When normal people were playing for a bit of money, it was much better.

Exactly! Last year Trump said the money that was raised from Clay and Arsenio was a huge factor in who would win. Clay's team raised almost 2x what Arsenio's team raised but they still chose Arsenio to win.

Well, Trump is a business man first & foremost. He also like to see his splashed around everywhere. I had no idea he had another building named after him down on Wall St. until I happened to walk by a couple days before he showed it on the show. I hate to think how many places his name is plastered around this city. :headache:

So he will most likely pick the Celebrity which can give his name the most mileage. Joan is able to do that as she is on a TV show and is a bigger start than Annie. And Trump will even get to be on Arsenio's new show a few times as a guest.

But, BOTH Penn & Trace are pretty big stars. It could go either way tonight. :yay:

What's with Dennis? He has on more makeup than a show girl.
