I just noticed the Celebration hotel has teacher discounts.
Dreams Unlimted had a rate of $99 plus $11 tax/fee per night.
Less than the Swan/Dolphin price for teachers.

So- how is the Celebration resort ?

We wil not have a car.
How is transportation to the WDW Parks ?

Places to eat ?

Pool ? Slide ? Waterfall ?

Room size as compareed to the CR or Dolphin ?

Bathrooms have 2 sinks ?

Closet space ?

Sorry for so many questions. I am so confused

I would not describe the Celebration Hotel as a resort. It is located in downtown Celebration, the planned community developed by Disney. Downtown Celebration provides some interesting shopping and some nice restaurants, but it is quite a ways from the themed resorts and the theme parks. I don't believe they provide any transportation to the parks, so it would not be a suitable choice for someone without a car. It would not provide an on-site experience.

when we were there last year, transportation was indeed provided to the parks. it is through mears. you can request the time you would like to be picked up at the hotel/parks. there was a charge, but for the life of me, i can't remember what it was. maybe 5$ each. a car would be helpful if that is to be the base of operation. but you are centrally located and can easily walk to restaurants and shopping. the pool is very lovely, but no slide. be sure to walk around the lake and take some of the paths. they lead to more homes in the area. it is a very interesting town, but not for everyone. www.celebrationhotel.com

If you are traveling with children then this is probably not the resort for you. We stayed for 4 nights this past Thanksgiving and had a wonder (adult) time. It's a very small, quaint, almost "Inn" type experience. Very relaxing. Its nice to walk to dinner at different restaurants and not have to worry about driving. There is the Columbia Rest. (Spanish), a great Italian restaurant, a sushi restaurant, and a New England Type Pub that serves food. There is also a Barnie's coffee and a Tea room.
I would go back again but again, not with kids.
Rooms are very nicely sized, and yes, there are two sinks in the bathroom. There was one closet between the bedroom and bathroom that was kind of small. Very nice bedding!
We had Thanksgiving dinner in the restaurant in the hotel but it was a brunch, buffett type meal so don't really know what a regular meal would be like. Its nice to be able to walk around the lake and off on some of the other nature paths. Definately worth the $99 rate if you can get it.
We are from Florida so we have our own transportation. Very easy access into Disney WITHOUT going on 1-92. I can't remember the name of the road but I think it's directly across from the Celebration entrance. It takes you in the back way to Disney. I love shortcuts!
